Work on governance structure for Kenya successfully completed today
28-Feb-2008 - A 5 way meeeting between two members of the Panel of Eminent African Personalities, H.E. Kofi Annan and H.E. Benjamin Mkapa, and H.E. Jakaya Kikwete, Chairman of the African Union and President of the Republic of Tanzania, and the two principals, H.E. Mwai Kibaki, President of the Republic of Kenya and Hon. Raila Odinga was held today at Harambee House, Nairobi.
Following the meeting, H.E. Kofi Annan announced that the two parties had completed their work on Agenda Item 3: How to Overcome the Current Political Crisis.
This afternoon there was a signing ceremony at Harambee House where an agreement on the Principles of Partnership of the Coalition Government and The National Accord and Reconciliation Act 2008 were signed by H.E Mwai Kibaki and Hon. Raila Odinga.
