Commission of Inquiry established

14-Mar-2008 - A Commission of Inquiry has been established by President Mwai Kibaki and the terms of reference for its work published in a Special Issue of the Kenya Gazette today.   
The Commission shall inquire into all aspects of the General Election held on 27 December 2007 in Kenya with particular focus on the Presidential Election.   
The international members of the Panel as proposed by the Panel of Eminent African Personalities are:
•    Johann Kriegler (Judge) from South Africa - Chairman
•    Imani Daudi Aboud (Lady Justice) from Tanzania
•    Horacio Boneo from Argentina
